Project Scope:
   Ammonia Removal Project: In accordance with mandates from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR), new processes are to be constructed to remove a larger amount of ammonia from the St. Joseph Water Protection Facility discharge to the Missouri River. The processes developed will facilitate future plans for nitrogen and phosphate removal as more stringent removal requirements are implemented by DNR.

Project Funding Amount: $45,104,453.57

   On March 17, 2016 a Final Completion walk through was held for the Ammonia Project. It is consider in the opinion of HDR, City and Garney, the effective date of Final Completion was granted on December 23, 2016. All remaining work shall be completed during the warranty period.
